Hello all! I’ve decided to put up an Exchange 2013 Architecture Series that will feature some of the inner workings and Design Best Practices for Exchange Server. As many of you know, Exchange 2013 is a much more refined beast from previous versions. The management shell has matured considerably and many of the High Availability and Message Transport capabilities have also been tweaked or in some cases completely rewritten. (Such as the new Extensible Storage Database Engine that was revamped in C-sharp)
So I will endeavor to post some articles that describe Exchange 2013’s components and how we may best construct a messaging environment.
Some of the articles I plan to write are:
- Message Transport
- Message Routing
- Mailbox and Storage Design
- Client Access Models
- High Availability Design
- Design Best Practices
